About Us

The Balkan Research Institute of Trakya University was established by the Decree of Council of Ministers (01.02.2010 date and 2010/103 number) after a proposal of Ministry of National Education (19.01.2010 date and 967 number) and an amendment of paragraph (d) of article 19 of Hihger Education Law (28.03.1983 date and 2809 number). The Decree of the Council of Ministers entered into force after its publication in the Official Gazette on Friday, February 26, 2010.

The Regulation of the Balkan Research Institute was published in the Official Gazette on October 21, 2010 and 27736 copy number.

Our proposal for the opening of Balkan History, Balkan Politics and International Relations, Balkan Languages and Literatures and Balkan Music Cultures Departments within the structure of the Balkan Research Institute was discussed and approved at the HEC Executive Council meeting on 27.10.2011.
